T-Shirt Screen Printing
Screen printing T-shirts is probably the oldest method used to replicate an image on clothing. The design is printed by passing ink through a mesh screen. Originally known as silkscreen printing, silk was the mesh used in the past before synthetic mesh screen was created.
How the screen printing process works:
-
Your custom design is exposed onto the screen.
-
The screen is stretched on a square wooden frame.
-
Using a squeegee, the ink is forced through the screen onto the shirt.
-
One color is applied at a time. A new screen needs to be created for each color.
Screen printing is the most cost effective solution for large quantities of T-shirts. It is also great for larger designs. Screen-printed T-shirts do not rub off, crack or peel, promising a high quality, long-lasting print. Screen printing is suitable for a wide range of clothing including T-shirts, Polo shirts and other apparels.
